Professional forager: Wild food events: Plant artist
I am a wild food cook, plant devotee and full time forager. For ten years I ran a rural hotel/cafe in SW France which specialised in wild plant recipes and Gourmet food from the ‘le terroir’. On returning to East Kent in the UK, I launched The Wild Kitchen teaching how to gather and cook wild plants. My client list ranges from private individuals to, the BBC, Food Network, chefs, educators and community groups.
I have a B. A. in Fine Art which led to an illustrated botanical cook book published in 2011, ‘Eating Flowers’ and a series of illustrated wild plant recipe cards. This is all part of my quest to encourage the protection, observation, understanding and love of the natural world.
